Fuck Ticketmaster

I'm no Bruce fan but if he's gonna play Fenway I'll go.
I have an account w/ Ticketmaster and like a good boy I signed on at 9:50 and waited. At 10:00 the system kiced me out with a splash screen message that the system was too busy. At 10:05 I'm in and looking for 2 tickets at any price. Ticketmaster's system has a stupid "type in the word" screen to make sure that people don't use a program to buy tickets. I type in the word and it tells me my wait is 15 minutes. I wait like 8 and it says "no tickets available for my criteria," which means there are not 2 seats togather anyplace. So I look for one, the word screen times out and kicks my back. Then the system goes back to showing that tickets are not available for the event. Then it lets me look for 1 ticket, doesn't time out, my wait is one minute. No ticket.
In 17 minutes this is sold out? I can believe that, but I can not believe that with an account that is used all the time, and a user that knows what to do, that I can not get a ticket.
Fuck 'em.

Dhalia's in bloom

hawaiid.jpg

My Dhalia's are in bloom. This is the fifth bloom of the year for me. Two other tyes besides this one are blooming. This is Hawaii Dhalia, don't know the class, only the name. This bloom is about six inches across. Quite nice looking in a vase with some white dhalia's.

Plumeria in bloom

plum1.jpg

One of my Plumeria has bloomed. Its been under lights for a few months and it finally started blooming this week. The flowers smell sweet and I am very happy with the plants in general. I have three total that I bought in March. One other might bloom, the third will most likely die.

Lizzy harvested some broccoli this weekend. It almost went to flower because I don't know enough about growing it.

Discovery Weekend

turtle.JPG

It is turtle season. For those of us near the beach we need to watch out. I almost ran over one on my bike Saturday when I went for a ride.

frog1.jpg

I also have a frog in my garden (or a toad?). My cat tries to catch it so I have to be careful. This little fella is keeping my garden pest free.
Anybody know if its a toad or frog?

Darkbuster Reunion??

lenny.jpg

Lenny from Darkbuster and Jason from the Amazing Crowns show love.

Good News!! Darkbuster might reunite. They fucking rule. No doubt one of the best bands ever to sing songs about booze. Rumor has it they will play Axis on July 12. Below is the report from punknews.com. I called Axis and they were not sure if this was true. Keep an eye on their website for info.

Anonymous writes "Word out of Boston is that local punk legends Darkbuster will be reuniting for at least two performances this summer. Although the second show has yet to be announced, one will be at Axis in Boston on July 12th. Is the reunion permanent? Word is that the band members are taking things slow to begin with. If the first couple of shows go well, they'll book more. If not, they won't. Also be on the lookout for a reissue of the band's classic debut album "22 Songs That You'll Never Want to Hear Again" (which is reportedly commanding top dollar on eBay these days) to coincide with the reunion dates, with a rarities collection also being discussed for future release. And, no, the reunion shows won't be affecting the various Darkbuster spinoff bands, which include Avoid One Thing, Lenny and the Piss Poor Boys, and Sam Adams whipping boys The USM, all of whom appear on a CD compilation included with the new issue of Fat City magazine (along with the Darkbuster rarity "NRA") and all of whom reportedly have recording plans this summer."
